@amos_tp , a Young Leader from West Nile challenged policymakers to ensure that refugee populations are reflected in local development planning. Drawing attention to the thousands of refugees living in Arua, he noted that many young refugees face the same barriers as host communities, unemployment, limited access to finance, technology, and productive resources, yet remain excluded from key government programmes. He called for deliberate efforts to include refugees in economic empowerment initiatives and address registration challenges that hinder access to services.
