It isn't about bringing the best or the brightest
It's an ethnic cartel, a literal conspiracy to replace American workers with foreigners
Your heritage, the legacy of your ancestors, is being stolen
In addition to H-1B abuse, the Trump administration should end the OPT program once and for all.
OPT allows foreign students on F-1 visas to work entry level jobs in the U.S. for 1-3 years after they graduate for employers who are then exempt from paying payroll taxes.
Unlike the H-1B program, OPT was never authorized by Congress and, therefore, can be ended with the stroke of a pen.
@Zakka_Jacob "China is thriving! We need to stay ahead of them by importing eleventy-billion workers from one of the most destitute nations on earth!"
"Are the Chinese doing that?"
"Why, no. Quite the opposite, in fact."
Fidelity says it cut about 800 tech jobs in May to make room for "early-career, hands-on" engineers.
June was its biggest H-1B month of the fiscal year. 815 certified filings, four times June 2025.
591 were amended filings for visa workers already on its payroll.
.@USLaborIG: "I am announcing a historic investigation into the J-1 visa fraud involving nine major American universities — Pit, Yale, Harvard, Stanford, Brown, UC Davis, Caltech, Arizona State, and MIT. Subpoenas have been served; investigations are underway."
@rad_niazadeh@zeynep oh great point. maybe we should make a system for distributing research that charges everyone thousands of dollars to publish or read, managed by small cliques that can use their positions of influence to punish foes and reward friends
@ErriugaOge@AnechoicMedia_ It’s called Singapore. You can visit and see for yourself. Don’t traffic drugs they will execute you. Don’t vandalize they will cane you. But it’s safe, clean, and has a higher per capita GDP than the US and most of Europe.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:
"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."
This is the future of the GOP that the Chamber of Commerce faction is currently trying to snuff out during midterms.
It’s what they did to the Tea Party. Don’t let them. Show up for midterms.
Ok, now my take.
Microsoft being totally blocked from PERM is a major, major hit. If you remember, they started doing mass backfill and re-hires of H-1B in giant amounts back in 2022.
If this block is left in place, the ENTIRE bulge of backfill they have brought in on H-1B is not getting green cards. And that means if we want to make sure they don't get green cards, we need to VOTE REPUBLICAN but not just that—the next Republican primaries we need to TARGET FOR ELIMINATION every Republican who is whining about Microsoft being blocked from green cards and H-1B.
And yes, JD Vance is staking his future on the movement to end the H-1B once and for all. I support this 1,000,000%
Vote the MISSION.
This would’ve never happened if a core group of anon Indian Remigration accounts didn’t chimp.
We will humbly take the W and charge on to the next objective.
@RapidResponse47@Sonderling47@USDOL Now end their Federal contracts. These violations should render Microsoft ineligible for any contract, current or future. This would include State, County, and City level.
