Modern day: if you are a white collar worker in a corrupt nation, you are that straight tree.

So what are your legit options?

1) Build decent wealth, pay your taxes.
You got no choice.

You need to get to escape velocity (escape velocity= enough money where you can use your money to build options).

A simple residency change puts you in 0% capital gains/dividend bucket. To get here, you gotta first build wealth.

2) Learn to invest well. Serious money can be made here.

Example: when you stop paying 1-2% commissions on your investments, you scale your portfolio.

That's almost 33% difference on your portfolio.

3) Make your wealth mobile. Most people simply lock their wealth in 1 nation. All SIP, all real estate, everything in 1 nation.

This is plain dumb in a volatile world.

Create optionality with your money. Open a US brokerage account: buy stocks like Meta, Msft legally. You automatically end up splitting your wealth across 2 nations.

Simple moves. But, no wealth advisor (who sells India products) will tell you.
