For the very first time in my life I received a birthday cake thank to @NaaMelanin. It's so beautiful and I'm super happy. Thank you so much Naa. God bless you so much ❤️❤️🥂.
Supporting women doesn’t mean defending every action taken by a woman simply because she is a woman. That’s simply selective silence.
As women, we keep fighting hard for seats at decision making tables, leadership positions and professional respect. We should neither applaud the public humiliation of another woman nor that of a man. Human dignity is a universal human right.
The CalBank branch manager deserved respect. Not because she’s a woman, but because she’s a human being. The fact that the person involved is also a woman makes it even more disappointing.
If we expect men to treat women in leadership with dignity, then women in positions of power, like Okaikwei North MP Theresa Lardi Awuni, must hold themselves to that same standard.
Respect is the minimum standard of leadership.
We shouldn’t excuse a conduct like this in the name of sisterhood. Holding women accountable is never about betraying women. It’s believing that women are just as capable of exercising power well or poorly.
@NasibaBSaeed@thenanaaba It is, a bit in the beginning, but believe me, you will love it. That’s the beauty of writing.
Take it chapter by chapter everyday and you will enjoy it . Let me know what you think about it when you are done.
My hot take is that as women, we need to let ourselves be, more and more. Wear your natural nails, your natural lashes, rock your fro. For Chrissakes, we’re human beings not machines. The whole “maintenance” and now “beauty maxxing” culture has always rubbed me off the wrong way. Women please breathe and live! There’s nothing wrong with your natural state!
