3 days back, I booked a Sleeper Class Ticket from Pune (love to travel in general). Travel date planned in July end.

Ticket cost = ₹465
Convenience Fee = ₹11.8

So total cost was ₹477.

Some plans changed and I cancelled the ticket yesterday.

I was charged ₹120 as cancellation charge + lost the convenience fee. So I got a refund of ₹345.

Which means I had paid 28% of the ticket price for cancelling it a month before travel.

Few suggestions to @AshwiniVaishnaw ji:

1. Lakhs of people travel in Sleeper Class. ₹120 cancellation is too much on pocket of common man. In my opinion, cancellation should not be more than 5%-10% of ticket cost (especially if someone cancels > 48 hours)

2. With the New OTP based logins in July, please review the cancellations charges. Let citizens be accountable, but do not penalize everyone.

3. RAC tickets are charged in full. But 2 fully paying passengers share the seat. Using Aadhar details, and the bank details, please refund 50% of the seat charge to RAC passengers. It will help.

I am writing this, representing lakhs of friends who travel and might face the same issue.
