A true Gorkha soldier who lived by the motto 'Kayar Hono Banda Marno Ramro' (Better to die than to live the life of a coward) until his last breath.

#LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Lance Havildar Prem Bahadur Resmi Magar, Kirti Chakra (P), 3/1 GORKHA RIFLES, eliminated 4 terrorists in an infiltration bid #OnThisDay 16 June in 2016 at Tangdhar, J&K & laid down his life fighting.

On 16 June 2016, L/Hav Magar was part of the patrol team that spotted Pakistani terrorists trying to infiltrate in the Tangdhar area in J&K.

The terrorists fired at the troops on being challenged and a fierce gun battle ensued thereafter.

L/Hav Magar engaged the terrorists and eliminated four of them. However, during the heavy exchange of fire, he got severely injured by a series of bullet hits. The #IndianBrave succumbed to his injuries.

For his gallantry & supreme sacrifice, L/Hav Magar was awarded with the #KirtiChakra posthumously. 🏵️
