@MalawiRedCross is today set to distribute relief items to some households whose houses, food and property were damaged two weeks ago, due to heavy rains in 14 wards of Mzuzu city in northern Malawi.
In response to #CycloneFreddy that left a trail of destruction in Southern Region of #Malawi, @WHO’s Nairobi hub has dispatched medical supplies worth USD $155k to @WHOMalawi to support displaced affected families. We stand in solidarity w/ @MalawiGovt & we continue supporting 🇲🇼
Cyclone Freddy has left hundreds dead and thousands displaced. #UKaid for people affected arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi earlier today, ready to help those in need.

Commander of the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) General Vincent Nundwe has today in his own capacity donated 20 bags of 50kgs of maize flour and 2 bags of 50kgs of beans to the Tropical Cyclone Freddy affected people through the @MalawiRedCross. We are humbled by the gesture
