@scotjess3 @Naomi_D_Harvey There’s lots of overlap between MEcfs & NDPH (New Daily Persistent Headache). My lay person’s guess is there’s a common underlying physiology between the 2, probably not universal with either condition but that accounts for the overlap. I’m pwNDPH. 7 years. 1 single headache.

@rdumont99 @ahandvanish For predictive rate, we want the acute cohort (i.e., people enrolled during the acute phase of their infection) who had LC at 6 months=10%. But, looks like their corresponding infected controls=4.6%. So I’m thinking 5% diff is the pertinent %?

@sunsopeningband @taylorpartdeux @Naomi_D_Harvey @sunsopeningband Do these various conditions tend to show up like ME on a 2 day CPET? I have NDPH since 2016 (unknown origin) and my headache definitely spikes 24-36 hours after exertion. Since NDPH is frequently post-infection, maybe it also would?

@dr_kkjetelina I don’t think Offit believes that Long Covid is a real thing. So he is *only* interested in data related to deaths from acute infections. He considers infections that don’t result in death to be inconsequential. His ongoing comments only make sense through that lens.
