Flag Day: More Than a Symbol

Sunday is Flag Day. We honor the American flag — not as a decoration, not as a political emblem, but as a sacred reminder of what generations before us sacrificed to preserve.

The flag represents a nation built on the promise that government exists by the consent of the governed. It represents liberty under law, rights given by God, and the responsibility of every citizen to protect the republic entrusted to us.

At Unite4Freedom, we believe honoring the flag means more than flying it. It means defending the principles it stands for:

A free nation cannot survive without trustworthy elections, lawful process, transparent records, and citizens willing to stand in the gap.

The federal government is finally stepping up to provide the structural support required to secure our elections.

Executive Order 14399, signed on March 31, 2026, marks a turning point - moving away from administrative ambiguity and toward a streamlined system that empowers states to uphold existing citizenship laws with precision.

Here is the breakdown of the three pillars ensuring only eligible citizens participate:

The Post Office is being integrated as a vital partner in maintaining ballot chain-of-custody. By utilizing Intelligent Mail barcodes and a federal "Mail-in and Absentee Participation List," the USPS can ensure that official ballots reach only those verified through the federal citizenship database. It’s a common-sense safeguard for the mail-in process.

DHS and the SSA are providing the "missing link" for state election officials: a centralized database of "confirmed U.S. citizens." Some jurisdictions are hesitating, but election authorities in Texas, Ohio, and Florida are already leading the way - integrating this data into their voter rosters.

While the SAVE America Act works through the legislative process, this Executive Order provides immediate relief. It uses existing DHS and DOJ authorities to enforce standards that have been on the books for years but lacked a mechanism for real-world application. Most importantly, it provides clear accountability for election officials to follow these verified standards.

The Bottom Line
