@dpullen17 But the initial ask to the Archives if I could actually go in and see them or if I had to submit through FOI took the Archives months to respond to - so if you think you'll need to submit, just go ahead before asking!

@dpullen17 I found the record numbers of the files that I suspected they were a part of on the Archives of Ontario website and then filed the FOI noting exactly what I was looking for. The Archives sent me them relatively quickly after the FOI submission.

Feeling emotional today, #AncestryHour. Just received the psychiatric files of a g-great uncle & great-aunt. Both were diagnosed with "schizophrenia". Uncle was admitted for 8 yrs, but my aunt was a patient for 20 yrs, both at the Ontario Hospital Kingston, aka Rockwood Asylum.

@cbgenealogy I'm just about to share the details with my aunts and uncles - very curious about what they'll say! In my g-aunt's notes (450+ pages!), they note no other similar family history, but her uncle has been admitted, too!
