Yesterday I sat at the front of the bus (which I never do) and ended up beside a man who really touched my heart. This poor man was on his way to the court house in Vernon and ended up in Kelowna. He has a severe brain injury from getting mugged and attacked from behind.
His GFs aunt greeted us with a big hug, happy he was safe. I didn't expect to hear from him again, I just wanted to help. Hours later my mom sent me this FB post and I couldn't stop crying. You never know how much even 1 hour of knowing someone can impact their life forever😭

The entire bus ride we talked and I even talked to his girlfriend on the phone and arranged for her aunt to pick him up at the library and gave her the address. Upon arriving to Vernon, I walked him to the library with our arms linked together to make him feel safe and guide him.
