Completely pointless saying "don't do any work over Christmas" if workload is so high that someone will have a breakdown on return to work if they don't do anything.
Time to post this (obvious-to-any-actual-teacher) info nugget again:
Teachers can’t run 1-1 therapy sessions in mainstream classrooms after every behaviour incident AND still teach stuff.
@TeacherBehave@MarieZarro97723 @Dazzalee127320 So no, I probably wouldn't, but I definitely would expect my lower ability children to access it, even if they find it hard.
@TeacherBehave@MarieZarro97723 @Dazzalee127320 I would imagine that if a child was at the age of carrying out long multiplication and couldn't add single digit numbers, then they would be on the SEND register, there are always going to be the odd children where adaptive teaching isn't right, but for the general class it works
@weekathykat @Dazzalee127320 There is so much research out there now that this is not best practice and holds learners back. Adaptive teaching, providing scaffolds and possible challenges, is beneficial for all.
