Great day today as @MassGovernor signs #ollieslaw! I’m so grateful to @repashe and everyone who helped get this important legislation over the finish line 🐶
This is a realignment election in NYC. More than 1 million Democrats voted, and a 33-year-old socialist holds a very large lead over a Democrat who was governor for nearly 11 years, and had almost the entire political establishment behind him.
America has had few greater advocates for women and reproductive health than Cecile Richards.
Her legacy will be the countless lives she touched and the generations of women she inspired to follow in her footsteps.
I'm thinking of her family and friends today and holding you close to my heart.
We know you may be terrified and worried – but we’re here for you, your families, and your communities. This is not over. Planned Parenthood has never backed down from a fight — and we won’t, ever.
Ruff day at the office 🐾
Ollie's Law makes sure that when we drop pets off at a kennel or daycare, they’re protected. Thank you to Amy Baxter, and the advocates and legislators who helped make our state safer for all our residents, including our four-legged ones.
What a great day for animals in the state of Massachusetts. I’m so grateful to Kara Holmquist, Melissa Ekvall, and everyone at @MspcaAngell@MSPCAAdvocacy for shepherding this bill for over three years!
UPDATE: @MassGovernor signed Ollie's Law today, and we are thrilled! Ollie's case and others across the state have demonstrated the need for standards at dog daycares and boarding facilities—something that will help protect animals, consumers & employees of those facilities 1/
Great news!! Ollie’s Law–a measure that would require reasonable rules and regs for doggie daycares and boarding facilities–is heading to @MassGovernor's desk! The law is named after a sweet dog who died from injuries sustained during a fight between dogs at a daycare 1/
#DidYouKnow Mass. currently has no rules and regs for doggie daycare and boarding facilities? Help keep pups safe by urging your state senators to pass Ollie’s Law before the legislative session ends tomorrow! Learn more about it here, via @athol_dailynews https://t.co/tMdrGhv6Zm
Movement to pass #OlliesLaw continued on Beacon Hill today. 22News State House reporter @EllenFlem
spoke with animal advocates about regulating the boarding facility industry. #mapoli
Happening now! #OlliesLaw Coalition is holding a press briefing on the Grand Staircase of the MA State House before its Joint Committee on Municipalities+Regional Gov hearing. Help us urge legislators to take action to prevent future injuries + fatalities at boarding facilities.
Passing #OlliesLaw NOW is critical bc we're on the cusp of transporting *thousands* more homeless dogs to Mass. from all over the US.
