Great to be out and about with the #MMInflatableMuseum with a new mascot in our van! Our cuddly mascot is from the @MuseeLouvre and is based on an ancient Egyptian blue faeince hippo ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Wahay! Working with children again! Massive boost right before Christmas. Itโs been a frustrating year in lots of ways with delays and issues outside of my control. Had to learn to **breathe**. Hereโs to a more โliftedโ 2022 in every way!
We had a GREAT time delivering these BOTANY BAY workshops at @OswaldRoad and @MedlockPS last week!! We can't wait to see where this project goes next ๐ฝ๐ถ๏ธโ๐ฆ๐ฟ
Sad to have lurgied-out of #Museums2021 live today, but caught some great sessions online. Particularly great to hear the L&E manifesto applying to EVERYONE, @NtlMuseumsScot on super practical digital schools stuff, and @NewarkMuseumArt on some super playful participatory ideas.
So excited to launch the call for pilot schools for this new immersive experience for young people, exploring what we can learn about wellbeing from this fascinating civilisation.
Brilliant from my colleague on how museums can enable nature connectedness (and all the eg well-being benefits of that) for those of us without green space on doorsteps. ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ก๐ป๐๐๐ฆ
Our latest #GCSENaturalHistory newsletter is out now. In this month's issue we look forward to @COP26 and have an article from @McrMuseum on how museums can support students #naturalhistory learning beyond the traditional classroom. Read it now: https://t.co/HYeJl1qIBE
Excited to be part of this afternoon's @MM_Connects teachers training session for this year's intake of our award-winning 'Shabtis in Schools' programme ๐ฅณ
Great meeting with @Monument_Men, @3D_Leigh and @EgyptMcr about this amazing new 3D render of an ancient Egyptian healing temple, which weโll be using to explore ancient and modern approaches to #wellbeing
Thanks to @WhitworthArt for a really lovely morning on Saturday at their summer art garden activities. Chatted to the family of a 19 month old whoโd never played with other children before - these opportunities are so important โค๏ธ
This job is going to be AMAZING. Massive variety of work and huge opportunities to develop your museum learning practice in an ambitious, award-winning department. Come and work with me, and spread the word!!
Manchester Museum may be closing ... but the team is still busy enough to be recruiting! We're hiring a full time Learning Programme Assistant for 2 years, to work with schools in our Inflatable Museum and on-site as we reopen next year. Could this be you??https://t.co/Khn9VwbDGu
Brought the baby into work for the first time today. She absolutely loved it. Wonderful to see @McrMuseum through these tiny eyes ๐ฅฒ - it really is an amazing place.
