@TPykes enjoyed their Pykes go to Birmingham 2019 day! First, students played board games they created. Each game had to incorporate info gained from our Civil Rights unit and the book, Watson Go to Birmingham 1964. Then, we watched the movie to celebrate! #MESrocks@AlexysSykes
@AlexysSykes@TeachingHursey @KFinneganMES @shultzmedia@TPykes@AlexysSykes, you get all the credit for this one! Your vision and organization of this day made it the greatest! 😊@TeachingHursey, you are too sweet. We do have some of the best kiddos around! Can’t wait to work with all of y’all again for our next room transformation!
I’ve accepted a challenge from
@Lacey_Craven1 to post covers of seven books I love- no reviews, no explanations- just the covers. Each time I post a cover, I’ll ask someone else to take up the challenge. One cover a day for a week. My day 2 nomination is @3munkeysmama

@TPykes enjoyed our field trip today! We learned all about the Civil Rights Movement in Savannah. Then we enjoyed the beautiful weather with a picnic at Forsyth Park. @AlexysSykes#MESrocks
Proud momma moment! Warren cashed in his McTickets for the opportunity to come read to my 5th graders! ❤️ It’s not an easy task to grab the attention of 53 5th graders, but he did it! 😊 #MESrocks#helovestoread#justlikehismomma
