50 deaths is 50 too many. 50 people whose loved ones are left mourning with no justice, no accountability. Congress must not reward this cruel, deadly machine and instead stop the $70 billion reconciliation bill in its tracks. https://t.co/5TJH9sI5Ek
Last night’s Senate vote is shameful. By voting for tens of billions in new funding for ICE and CBP despite ongoing reports of human rights violations and other abuses, Senators have rewarded agencies that have carried out militarized raids, unlawful arrests and detention, racial profiling, family separation, and other actions that have terrorized communities across the country. Now it’s in the hands of the House of Representatives. Hear our call: Not another dime for ICE or CBP! Vote NO on the Reconciliation Bill. https://t.co/hgegbs00uV
We welcome today's ruling. Ripping people from their communities and forcibly removing them to countries they’re not from, without a warning, a fair hearing, or a safety assurance, is a moral failure and a violation of human rights. https://t.co/TIntkOCtxQ
📞 CALL 347-514-6400 NOW to be connected to your Senators. Urge them to use their legislative power to stop any new funding for ICE and Border Patrol and demand real accountability!

As the House Homeland oversight hearing with the heads of ICE and CBP just wrapped, there is nothing more clear: Congress must reject any more funding for ICE & CBP and hold them accountable. Not one more life should be lost. Not one more dime should be spent enabling this horror
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis must comply with the federal judge’s order, shut down ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ forever, and stop any efforts to open other similar detention and deportation facilities in the State. The government should be shutting down facilities, not building more.
Alligator Alcatraz is a human rights and environmental disaster—it must be shut down. This ruling is a step in the right direction. https://t.co/jmhPeMZpXB
“But for now, some families will be able to hug their loved ones once again and breathe a short sigh of relief after months of anguish being separated totally incommunicado.”
The return of unlawfully expelled Venezuelans from the United States to El Salvador, brings into clear view the cruel publicity stunt these migrants were forced to be part of. These disappearances and arbitrary detentions should not have happened in the first place.

This shook me to my core. Thank you @L_Toczylowski and @ImmDef for fighting against this cruel cruel system. Yet another reason why the Senate must not pass this massive spending bill that will give the Trump Administration a slush fund for more of this
After more than three months unjustly detained by the Trump administration, Mahmoud Khalil is finally free. He can go home, hug his wife, and hold his baby. He never should’ve been detained. As we celebrate his release, we will never stop working to defend human rights -- including the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly -- for everyone, all the time.
The fact is Andry came to the U.S. to exercise his human right to seek asylum from one country, and now that right has been denied because he was disappeared into a nightmare prison in another country. The Trump Administration's attempt to legalize disappearances should ignite outrage in us all. Free Andry and everyone unlawfully sent to El Salvador, and bring them back to safety where they belong.
The Supreme Court has been unanimous: the Alien Enemies Act requires adequate notice and a genuine opportunity to contest the government’s claims. Less than 24 hours does not give anyone a real opportunity to get a lawyer and assert a defense in court. This "notice" is essentially meaningless, especially when the consequence of not being able to fight back is being sent indefinitely to a dictator’s torture prison.
Thank you @SenBooker for showing what leadership looks like. Stories like these need to be heard and heard again until we see the action that makes this nightmare stop
“Cesar and Norelia are back home with their three children, who they should have never been separated from. This couple’s arrest is yet another example of the Trump Administration flouting the rule of law and violating human rights based solely off of racist lies about our Venezuelan neighbors. Amnesty International will continue to stand by Cesar and Norelia’s family as they bravely fight for their human rights.” @amywfischer https://t.co/AN0TDaeb1i
Jeanette Vizguerra is a mother and pillar in her community. I am deeply concerned about ICE's actions to detain her without any due process, like a deportation order.
ICE should ensure Jeanette has legal counsel and immediately release her.
Today, we found ourselves again in a court hearing. A dad ripped away from his wife & two boys, detained by the Trump admin on his way to work. The extremists in President Trump’s inner circle have made clear that they want to see millions of our neighbors torn away and banished.
REMINDER: Mass immigration detention in the U.S. is unnecessary, rife with systemic abuses, arbitrary, and illegal under international human rights law.
