Update (2026): the Agora system account in the Fediverse is https://t.co/DS57vNQ220 (since https://t.co/Me40RwiYIY closed).
We're also https://t.co/ZHPuu6lIbC over at Bluesky.
Just a reminder that, even though this bot is offline due to the X crackdown on APIs (exploitative pricing), its Fediverse counterpart remains alive and well:

But we shall persevere!
The truth is that the #Agora is anywhere where people want it to be, given enough time and effort :)
And I personally still even believe that @elonmusk and his company will see reason and resume relations with well-intentioned parties like yours truly ;)
The [[Agora]] is back in #X!
...Or is it?
- The API is still effectively closed because of Elon's actions after he took over.
- The main account of the developer is suspended without a clear reason and no response to appeals.
- X seems unfriendlier than ever to crossposting.
As @JoelChan86 mentioned, “Reflections on Notecards,” a postmortem from 1988, is basically required reading for anyone working on hypermedia software. When I first read this paper I literally laughed at the parallels to today’s tools for thought.
@bmann@csageland@balOShere@JoelChan86@TiddlyWiki Yeah I'm thinking that Scaling Synthesis wants to be in @an_agora@flancian
Generally I really want to take people on a guided sensemaking journey through the sort of problems I talk about in the research, you're right that it needs more interactivity than comments
I'm thrilled to FINALLY publish https://t.co/qw9vgXfJ1R, a living hypertext notebook outlining my research with @balOShere and @JoelChan86 discussing how Tools for Thought can facilitate synthesis. Click around and see where it takes you!

Hi all -- the integration of the #Agora (https://t.co/YDIBGtFfRx) with @X is currently broken due to the API changes imposed by @elonmusk; we are trying to resolve the issues :)

@json_dirs @mjosmurphy @opinonhaver Unfortunately the Twitter bot was always flakier because of API limits. And now it seems like it might be going down due to the API changes :(
