🦇 Cambodia has a real-life “Batman cave” — and it’s wild
Every evening at sunset, hundreds of thousands of bats pour out of a cave on Phnom Sampeau hill, forming a dense, river-like stream in the sky.
That’s why people call it the “Batman cave.”
The bats fly десятки kilometers and devour huge amounts of insects overnight — including pests that damage rice fields.
So it’s both a surreal show and a natural pest control system.
Caught on Cambodia’s Front Line
The true cost and real casualties of Thailand and Cambodia’s border conflict up close

In truth, I do not wish to make any statements regarding the Cambodia-Thailand conflict, which is currently being addressed under a ceasefire agreement intended to prevent the loss of life among military personnel and civilians, and to ensure that both public and private property, as well as infrastructure, are not destroyed in the event of renewed warfare.
However, what I do wish to speak about is the reopening of the Cambodia-Thailand border checkpoint. In recent times, there has been considerable public discussion, mostly from Cambodian social media users. Meanwhile, political figures, military leaders, and civil administrators have remained silent on the matter.
Looking at Thailand, we see voices from all levels of society, from top to bottom, speaking out repeatedly about maintaining the closure. Since the Thai military unilaterally shut the border, Cambodia has never requested its reopening. We simply informed the Thai side that, (as Thailand closed it, they should be the ones to reopen it. There is no need for negotiation with Cambodia, and once Thailand reopens its side, Cambodia will follow five hours later.)
This is Cambodia's firm position and it will not change. Cambodia will not lower itself to beg Thailand to reopen the border. Even if Thailand decides to keep it closed for another 100 years, Cambodia will not perish.
I should express gratitude to Thailand. Their unilateral border closure has prevented the import of Thai goods, which in turn has led to significant growth in Cambodian domestic products. Cambodian citizens who love their country have come together to support and consume locally made goods, which will contribute to long-term economic development.
For over three months without Thai imports, Cambodia’s markets have remained stable, with an adequate supply of goods and low inflation. In macroeconomic terms, economic management has been effective.
Regarding Japan’s request as it has investments in both Thailand and Cambodia to transport goods across the Cambodia-Thailand border, Japan should contact the Thai side, as Cambodia has already granted its approval.
I respectfully urge my fellow citizens to remain patient and allow the Royal Government to continue resolving this matter through peaceful means. We cannot end war with war.
During a fragile ceasefire with Thailand, Cambodian villagers in disputed territory are being attacked and pressured. This is not the behavior of a country that claims to want peace. Wrong time. Deescalate first, then resolve the border through diplomacy.
Let the international community help watch the Thai people and the Thai soldiers come to the aggressive in Cambodia and shoot the Cambodian people with guns. Let the international organization help Cambodia.🇰🇭🙏🏻😭
Soldiers and Civilians Injured by Thai Military Slingshots

China's air force entering the unmanned era before anyone else.
The 2 air superiority drones shown at the Victory Day parade:
🔷Are supersonic capable.
🔷has all-aspect, broadband stealth 6th gen stealth, with the exception of the engine nozzle which is at the standard of 5th gen stealth.
🔷Can carry 4 long range air to air missiles.
🔷Most crucially, they are AI enabled, capable of highly independent decision making, target acquisition and threat assessment.
You can claim to have all the best ace pilots, but against a swarm of AI enabled air superiority drones, you're just a target.
Wars in the future will be increasingly determined by the industrial base of a country. The side that can make more complex and capable unmanned platforms will be the ones winning the war.
Each day Thailand refuses to release the 18 Cambodian soldiers in captivity, and each day they refuse to return the fallen for burial, the cost grows heavier—not just in human dignity, but in Thailand’s own economy.
Thailand is already collapsing under political chaos. The removal of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has left rival parties fighting for power, with calls for dissolving the House and holding new elections. Bloomberg reports the Bank of Thailand may be forced into a 0.5% rate cut by October, as growth is projected at only 2% in 2025—far below Indonesia and the Philippines.
Investors see instability, businesses see risk, and the world sees a government that violates peace, detains soldiers, and disrespects the dead. Every refusal, every day wasted, pushes Thailand further into economic decline.
