A Jewish father went to see his rabbi:
"Rabbi, I brought my son up in the faith, gave him a Bar Mitzvah, "Then he tells me last week, he's decided to be a Christian. Rabbi, where did I go wrong?"
The rabbi strokes his beard and says, "Funny you should come to me. I too, brought up my son as a boy of faith and then one day he comes to me and tells me he wants to be a Christian."
"What did you do?" asked the man of the rabbi.
"I turned to God for the answer," replied the rabbi.
"What did he say?" asked the man.
He said, "Funny you should come to me..."
This time of year I randomly remember going to this chaotic family dinner. I made a comment about how peanuts grow in the ground like potatoes instead of on a tree. My brother in law couldn’t accept this, called me a liar, yelled when it was googled & has not spoken to me since.
@Number10cat We’re on maybe our 8th or 9th calendar of daily Liz Climo cartoons. We’ve swapped to something else a couple times, but her stuff is just SO GOOD we keep coming back.
With friendly fire incidents being so topical lately, I figured I would make a post about my favorite friendly fire incident of all time.
This is the story of Lt Col Louis Edward Curdes and the time he got a kill credit for shooting down an American aircraft.
@turbogrog @Padgriffin_@campryenwater@Nexuist I’m on everything but Android. No emotion about it.
That said, I have a ton of respect for Apple; once they decided to go all in on ARM, they knew that a custom SOC with integrated memory would offer a ton of advantages on their HW/SW platform.
Smart to choose hard here.
@onrebrofo @Slatzism Yep. I’m just saying that they are behaving rationally. Losing some users > losing all users.
Plus, they know a bunch will just use VPN to bypass regional restrictions.
@BrocciLuvr @Slatzism Your argument doesn’t oppose mine. If PH had a magic solution that eliminated underage users without requiring an actual ID database for its legal age users, they’d very eagerly pounce on the opportunity.
They sure as hell wouldn’t be voluntarily existing 26% of U.S. states.
