The US debt crisis intensifies:
~26% of US federal debt is set to mature within the next 12 months, one of the largest portions this century.
By comparison, the peak was ~29% in 2020, when interest rates set by the Fed were at 0%.
Between 2010 and 2020, this percentage remained below 20%.
Currently, interest rates stand at 3.75%, with the market pricing in 2 cuts this year.
This means ~$10 trillion in debt must be refinanced at significantly higher interest rates over the coming year.
This comes as the US Treasury has shifted toward issuing shorter-dated bonds to minimize interest costs in the near term.
Who is going to buy all of this debt?

Real Impact vs. Limelight: 30+ Years of Infinity Foundation
Speaking at the launch of the Banyan Tree Network in Glasgow, UK, I reflected on over three decades of work, ideas, and institutional engagement.
Long-term impact does not come from theories alone. It is built from the bottom up through decades of direct encounters, rigorous engagement, and the willingness to stand firm against institutional resistance.
Over three decades, Infinity Foundation has pursued both constructive and disruptive forms of impact. Constructive impact builds long-term frameworks—such as institutionalizing Indian psychology in universities and advancing Indian knowledge systems.
Disruptive impact actively challenges entrenched forces—such as challenging offensive anti-Rama skits funded in U.S. schools during the 1990s, confronting Freudian psychoanalysis of Hindu deities in American academia, and resisting the appropriation of India’s traditional intellectual and cultural legacies by outsiders.
Ultimately, meaningful impact is measured by enduring outcomes: policy transformation, curricular integration, the development of future scholars, and the ability to respond effectively to challenges facing Dharmic traditions.

India’s ancient wisdom continues to travel far beyond India.
A foreign practitioner who has studied Kalaripayattu for 20+ years is now training at Kerala’s CVN Kalari, exploring its traditional animal-inspired movements and embodied intelligence.
From Gajavadivu (elephant) and Simhavadivu (lion) to Sarpavadivu (serpent) and Marjaravadivu (cat), Kalaripayattu connects movement, awareness, balance and energy.
While the world races toward Artificial Intelligence, she highlights something India preserved for generations: the intelligence of the human body and calling it as India's Ancient Intelligence.
Ancient India has much to teach the modern world. 🇮🇳🔥
