@Dominik7c1 Christianity's compatibility with secular liberalism isn't superior to Islam. Catholicism condemned it (Syllabus of Errors), later shifts in tone ≠ repeal of prior doctrine ("hermeneutics of continuity), & Islam lacks central interpretative authority analogous to the papacy.

European enlightenment ideas wouldn't be a thing without the medieval scholastics, and the medieval scholastics wouldn't be a thing without Islam, so the claim that "Islam is incompatible with the West" makes as much sense as "Christianity is incompatible with secular liberalism"
@Dominik7c1 My point stands : the claim that "Islam is incompatible with the West" makes as much sense as "Christianity is incompatible with secular liberalism". If you affirm the former, you'd affirm the latter, if you reject the former, you'd reject the latter, unless you're cherry picking
@Dominik7c1 It's hypocrisy to point the tension of islam & "the west" without also pointing the tension WITHIN "the west", as it's hypocritical to point the commonalities of secular liberalism & Christianity within "the west" without also pointing the commonalities of Christianity & Islam.
@TheCinesthetic The fucking broom as foreshadowing tho is one hell of a trick, to scare the shit out of me in broad fucking daylight, and still gets me after repeated viewing, even with the simplicity of the misc en scene, Lynch is not of this world -- dude has returned to where he belongs
For the Stoics "logos" has always been corporeal and immanent in nature, an active principle of intelligibility that pervades the whole material universe.
@ReddShoee You'd want the best possible scientific knowledge for diagnosing how class society works, which necessarily at this stage of history would include how the capitalist system works. Being open to input and exploring the best possible resources out there would not hurt.

This is not a humanitarian crisis.
It’s a military policy.
Intentional starvation.
A war crime.
"Lol, capitalism isn't natural, it's only been around for 200 years!" isn't quite the winner you think it is, given that those 200 years account for about 99% of all the progress humanity has ever made.

Shouldn't be controversial : the very movement towards sustaining/enhancing cooperative social existence is the enabling condition for the greatest advancements of rationality itself. In this conception of rationality, sociality is built into it, not apart from it.
Yes I'm for the free development of each, yes I'm for free association of producers, yes this makes me a communist by definition, no it's not a future ideal to be established, yes you've been indoctrinated to believe otherwise
