Muzaffarnagar Police has arrested and jailed a food blogger named Anas, and the reason behind the action is raising serious concerns about freedom of expression and selective outrage.
According to reports, Anas had created a promotional food video for a chicken outlet named “Al Yameen Chicken Center.” In the video, he briefly showed Muzaffarnagar’s famous Shiv Chowk at the beginning a landmark widely associated with the city’s identity, just as India Gate, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, or Lotus Temple are commonly shown in documentaries or travel videos related to Delhi.
During those visuals, a temple and saffron flags visible at Shiv Chowk also appeared in the background. Later in the same video, food items from the chicken center were shown.
Following objections from some Hindutva groups claiming that their religious sentiments were hurt, police reportedly took action against Anas and sent him to jail.
The incident has triggered debate online, with many questioning whether showing a city landmark in a food vlog should lead to criminal action against a content creator trying to earn a livelihood through social media.

A 15-year-old minor Muslim girl was allegedly groomed over several months by a man identified as Titu Pal.
According to the complaint, he manipulated her into mixing sedatives in a family meal, after which her mother and two younger sisters fell unconscious.
With her father working abroad, the girl reportedly took cash and jewellery believing promises of elopement. She was then taken to a banquet hall where she was sexually assaulted by multiple accused.
Accused fled with valuables; police registered POCSO case, Titu & associates arrested, one still absconding.

हरियाणा: मस्जिद में पेट्रोल डालकर लगाई आग, ऐतिकाफ में बैठे लोगों को जिंदा जलाने की कोशिश।

हरियाणा के पलवल ज़िले में देर रात कुछ अज्ञात लोगों ने एक मस्जिद में कथित तौर पर आग लगाने की कोशिश की। इस घटना के बाद इलाके में तनाव फैल गया।

बताया जा रहा है कि जिस समय असामाजिक तत्वों ने आग लगाई, उस वक्त मस्जिद के अंदर इबादत के लिए ठहरे लोग सो रहे थे। धुआं और आग की गर्मी महसूस होते ही उन्होंने शोर मचाकर गांव वालों को बुलाया, जिसके बाद समय रहते आग पर काबू पा लिया गया। अगर थोड़ी भी देर हो जाती, तो बड़ा हादसा हो सकता था।
