The same donald trump who threatened "years in jail" for people who touch the peeling paint in the Reflecting pool pardoned 1500 people who destroyed the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Watching Pete Hegseth and struggling to recall a more vile, dishonest or troubling presentation of propaganda and political bullshit by a member of our government. We are being led by the most corrupt and character-less administration in history. May our valiant troops be safe.
I say this without any political affiliation or agenda. A woman sitting in a car full of toys, surrounded by masked officials, clearly panicking and making a mistake, whose vehicle may have struck one of them in a non-life-threatening way, would not have been executed in a civilized country.
She would have been arrested, restrained, and brought before a court. The officer would have had the protection of the law. Instead, she was killed. That is not justice.
What is even more disturbing are the reactions in the US comments on X. They show a near zero valuation of human life and instead aggressively glorify blind obedience to “law and order.” The underlying message is clear: comply perfectly or die. That mindset is not about justice or safety. It is about submission, and it exposes a deeply unhealthy moral compass.
"(ICE officers) were not in danger of being injured or hurt by the vehicle at all."
CNN obtains new video from a witness who was just five feet away from where the victim's car crashed in Minneapolis. She shares what she saw with Erin Burnett.
This is the most neutral summary I’ve seen of the Minnesota murder by ICE. It has ALL angles, it syncs them together, and shows the lead up and aftermath… if you watch this all and still think those shots were justified - you just might be a psychopath.
Air conditioned offices? Hey @PeteHegseth I have reported from war zones, disaster zones, riots, and more. I’ve been shot at, heard RPG’s whistle overhead, and seen dead bodies. On behalf of many of us who have put our lives on the line to report the news, go fuck yourself.
The @nytimes compares Ontario’s anti-tariff commercial with Ronald Reagan’s original 1987 radio address.
The organic media coverage of this commercial far surpasses the potential reach of the $75 Million Ontario taxpayers were slated to spend.

This is Marine Colonel Doug Krugman, a 24-year combat veteran. He has resigned citing Trump's disregard for the Constitution: "I have given up the service I loved for the freedom to do the right thing...to speak in defense of our country."
RETWEET if you stand with Col. Krugman!
In 250 years of U.S. history, only two other senior officers have publicly resigned over a president’s contempt for the Constitution.
This is a landmark moment, and a test of whether those who swore an oath to defend the Constitution still have the courage to honor it.
Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:
“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

Let’s make sure everyone understands the facts with Kimmel.
As the right is trying to paint this as “at-will” termination.
-Nextar the parent company of Kimmel’s show is seeking FCC approval for a merger.
-Kimmel made comments about Trump on Monday night (months after Trump openly said he wanted to get Kimmel fired next)
-Reporting is that Trump had the FCC lean on Nextar over these comments.
-Apparently they expressly used the line “we can do this the easy way, or the hard way”
-Multiple executives at the network have on background said they “had no issue with Kimmel’s statements but the Trump threat loomed” referring to the merger.
This was *NOT* a network dissatisfied with Kimmel.
This was *NOT* a network embarrassed or horrified by what Kimmel said.
This was *NOT* a network that thought he was unfunny, or underperforming.
This was *NOT* a company freely choosing to fire an employee.
This was expressly the federal government weaponizing federal departments, in retribution for someone being critical of the President.
This is LITERALLY what the 1st Amendment exists for.
It does not protect you from private actions by private entities.
It protects you from actions by the government to censor your speech.
Whether brazen and direct, or through coercion and threat.
This is not about if Kimmel was offensive or not.
This is about speech.
Breaking statement from the Office of President Obama:
"Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.
"Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio."
In March @joshgoldenberg_ started a job at Goldman Sachs. After nearly 6 years of chasing it, he figured it was time to start his business career. He thought his golf golf career was over. He worked till 7 or 8 every night. Played golf on the weekends when he could.
He had got to final stage of DP Q-school late last year and was able to sign up for the @RBCCanadianOpen qualifier because of his conditional status. Plus the qualifier was being held on Sunday, and if he missed he would be back at the office Monday morning.
In six years of his pro career has never played a KFT or PGA Tour event. He played Latin and Canada mostly.
That will change this week. He shot -2 in the blowing wind and cold. He told me it is a “dream come true”.
I would have tweeted this earlier but Josh had to call his boss and let him know he wouldn't be in for the week. He didn't want his boss learning from my tweet.
They approved his week off and Josh will play the Canadian Open this week. His first ever Pga tour event.
I love fucking Mondays. (Sundays in this case)
