The fact that in @omarchy everything is stored in configuration files makes it so easy to build on orchestration layer on top.
I'm now at 5 computers sharing 99% of the same packages and configuration settings. The last 1% is essentially composed of fine-tuning and hardware differences.
Installed Omarchy on an old ASUS ROG Strix G15 (G512LV) gaming laptop tonight.
Took 7 minutes. Fan got a little crazy, which I fixed with: powerprofilesctl set quiet
Apart from that everything worked smoothly 👌
New @omarchy plugin incoming!

The thing I’m most grateful to Elon for is bringing back an age of wonder and excitement to humanity. That was jaw-dropping awesome! Screams and mouths wide open in the audience. Nuts.
Simple, but awesome things that I was able to do with @bot
➡️Complete Instagram strategy for growing my wife's business. 23-pager with comprehensive publishing schedule, hooks that match her style/tone, second-by-second shots for reels. That's Senior Community Manager type of work that went way beyond her expectations.
➡️Real estate bot to find our next house with high signal-to-noise ratio and daily summary of new properties. It even found houses that we had never seen before!
➡️Migrate my 2000+ @hypothes_is highlights to @raindrop_io and have it manage which links and highlights existed in the destination. Took 5mn🤯
➡️ Pre-filled long and boring Gov form to report scam. Finds all details automatically so I just need to hit Enter (because I want to).
Omacut continues to improve.
➡️ Smoother file drops: Dragging in several files now adds the ones that open and skips any that don't. The app tells you how many were skipped.
➡️ Add videos to an edit: Dropping new videos into an edit adds them instead of replacing what you've already built.
➡️ Separate work per video: When you work with several videos, each one keeps its own edits, exports, and thumbnail strip.
➡️ Clips reorder and split more naturally: You can split and splice clips, drop videos onto the timeline, and arrange clips in any order.

Omarchy is getting a per-workspace or global option to run as a traditional desktop with a dock. Great set of training wheels for anyone new to tiling window managers who need a safe space until it clicks!
Comes with Alt+Tab, minimization, left/right/top/bottom positioning.
Here's a command that lets you stage Git changes while viewing word-level differences:
git -c interactive.diffFilter="delta --color-only" add -p && git add -p
I wrapped this command in a Bash alias named 'padd' so I can easily use it on demand without changing my default Git settings 👌
(Requires the git-delta package on Omarchy)
@davidfano True. But Product people too should think like engineers. It's not about lanes anymore, it's about the value that you bring towards the desired customer outcomes.
It takes a high degree of dogma to flat-out reject AI-assisted contributions simply because they weren't written line-by-line by a human.
When passionate contributors care enough about a project to spend their own time and money burning tokens to submit a fix or feature, blanket rejections only lead to deep frustration and confusion.
If popular open-source maintainers continue to bury their heads in the sand, I expect we'll see major forks in the very near future.
When I see the work that @derekmross@jelgum98 and @Cube_Oakley are doing to get Omarchy on the phone, I'm inevitably brought back to the topic of phone / desktop convergence which started to look possible in 2020 with https://t.co/F46KbOfQJU
Imagine plugging your phone to a random external display with a mouse and keyboard, and you start working as if you were in front of your own computer.
With Omarchy, more than ever, I believe we'll make it happen. Who else is working on this?
