On 4 August, Mehbooba Mufti held the Tiranga upside down while protesting against scrapping of article 370 n 35a . It was clearly unintentional, yet you all strongly criticised her and demanded action. Today PM Modi’s Independence Day attire shows pocket squares in green white saffron order. This too must be unintentional.
If one was a genuine mistake, the other is also a genuine mistake.
Why the selective silence and different standards?
Respect for the national flag should be the same for everyone.

Smart City Srinagar was inaugurated recently, yet parts of the city now look like an ancient ruin. Uprooted tiles on footpaths, unnecessarily narrow roads with oversized pavements, and broken grey poles that should have been bright yellow for visibility create hazards especially at night. Pedestrians clothes and shoes get ruined, and it’s a nightmare for everyone. Worst on emergency routes like Karan NagarSoura Road, near SMHS, Dental, and Shireen Bagh Hospitals Traffic chaos, ambulances struggle to move, patients suffer delays. One year ago today, 26 innocent lives were brutally taken in the Pahalgam terror attack.
We stand with the grieving families who still carry this pain. Their loss is not forgotten.The Quran teaches Whoever kills an innocent soul ….it is as if he has slain all of humanity and whoever saves one, it is as if he has saved all of humanity. Violence against innocents is a crime against all humanity. We must reject hatred and work together for justice and peace so such tragedies never happen again.
