@devahaz if we’re talking professionally, trying to become an elite athlete is going to cost $$$ in any sport, but the odds are slimmer in tennis - and it is not even close to being the highest paying sport at that. it is more an issue of marketing than accessibility at this point
@devahaz there is going to be a sense of elitism by nature in an individual sport. if we’re talking about barrier to entry, tennis is also not easy to pick up and play casually with friends, even though a tennis racquet can cost the same as a soccer ball.
@Starbust92@GayBearRes willing to bet realtor friend only benefitted by chance and didn't know wtf what was going on either - 2022 also saw peak levels of idiots in the profession tbh
I don’t say it often, but everyone should watch this video in its entirety.
The use of 'brave' as an adjective has become almost disposable these days, overused to the point of meaninglessness.
However, this video—filmed within 48 hours of learning that one of her greatest nightmares had become a reality—demonstrates remarkable bravery by Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of Alexei Navalny.
The power and clarity of her message and the decision to put herself directly in the crosshairs of Vladimir Putin and his security services is an example of extraordinary sacrifice.
