TCS reports Q1 FY27 earnings today, July 9, opening the earnings season calendar for an IT sector that's down ~30% YTD. Options traders wait for this too, not for the numbers, but for the volatility the event brings.
TCS is at ₹2,037. A trader selling both the ATM Call and Put collects a combined premium of about 135 points, with breakeven at ₹2,171 on the upside and ₹1,902 on the downside (+/-6.6%).
That's the range the market is pricing in through the July month expiry. Earnings is the biggest driver of that pricing. (1/11)
Bank Nifty was up 250 points from morning low & then fell equally. A swing of 500 points in 1 hour.
Bank Nifty fell while there is a good news for Banking sector in US, Fist Citizens Bank buying SVB.
Strongest stock, ICICI Bank, is falling.
So is this the final leg of fall?
