Salinas could end up being even better than Lewis Hall. Signing him isn’t the issue if INEOS have genuinely identified him as a target.

The problem is the approach. They want to sign him not because they believe he’s better than Lewis Hall, but simply because he’s cheaper and has a release clause.

It’s the same approach they had with Liam Delap. The same approach they had with Joshua Zirkzee. Sign a player because he has a release clause, despite it being a gamble and having no idea how it will turn out.
