@holland_tom Thomas Jefferson has been my favorite Founding Father ever since I did a report on him in third grade. I so appreciated the thoughtfulness, honesty, & empathy you brought to this episode (almost as much as I appreciated your- completely correct-views on Gore Vidal and Aaron Burr)

We’ve had mediocre popes. The Church has endured through it all. The popes come and go, but Christ remains.
