You can now embed @drawio diagrams directly within your Markdown files.

Note on current limitations:
While it doesn't support full real-time collaboration like @excalidraw yet (only one person can edit while others view the preview), it’s a big step toward richer documentation.

4) Native Image Support 🖼️

Sometimes a picture is essential for clarity. You can now upload images directly to the host filesystem. They’ll be stored locally and rendered right inside your Markdown preview.

Yeah, auth is still quite limited for now since it was originally built for local-only setups. But I just added OIDC support (starting with Google OAuth).

This is exactly the direction I'm building toward @garrytan.

If product specs, designs, plans, and QA tests live as Markdown + images in Git — teams still lack a good way to collaborate on those files.

I'm building CollabMD as the collaboration layer on top of that workflow.

• realtime editing + presence + anchored comments
• works on any local markdown folder
• native diagrams: Mermaid, Excalidraw, PlantUML
• everything stays as plain files (git diffs & PRs intact)

Belakangan lagi nyoba eksperimen bikin tool kecil CollabMD.

Awalnya gegara banyak nyimpen dokumentasi di lokal yang formatnya plaintext (mostly Markdown), soalnya enak buat nulis & versioning di git, tapi ternyata ribet kalau mau dishare atau kolaborasi bareng orang lain.

Akhirnya coba bikin tool supaya vault markdown lokal bisa langsung jadi collaborative web app, nggak perlu migrasi, tetep bisa pake existing file di disk.

Jadi:
- Folder markdown biasa → langsung jadi web app
- Bisa edit bareng realtime
- Support Mermaid, PlantUML, Excalidraw
- Semua perubahan tetap plain files di disk + git friendly
