@malarkeymode I mean that seems like a whole different issue that has less to do with being distracted and more to do with an individual person’s life. You don’t make school policy based on that kind of example

@malarkeymode Right but that’s your job as a teacher: to figure out how to teach kids 😅 Did you super love your education cause the crusty teachers couldn’t keep your adhd ass’ attention in class? No one is unteachable and you can’t force people to care by controlling them

@malarkeymode @WhackNicholson And to cap it off, it’s ultimately just such a prison move. Most especially because kids now ARE born with their phones. So taking it from them is a bigger deal than it was to us. This school doesn’t even let them have it at lunch! That’s absolutely insane to me.

@malarkeymode @WhackNicholson —earned by showing respect back. All these things that make a good teacher. Instead of just blaming the students or technology or whatever. It’s like when an entire class fails a test - that’s on the teacher, not them.
