After three years off this platform, I'm back on because of what's happened at @washingtonpost and what we're trying to do about it at @CityCast_DC. We're going to start hiring journalists immediately to make sure DC continues to have great, useful, ambitious local journalism...
@JacobFenston To call @JacobFenston a talented audio journalist is a profound understatement. He's a gifted storyteller and one of the best sound designers I've ever worked with. He's funny, real, and as honest as they come.
I was one of the journalists laid of at @wamu885 today. I've had a great time covering local environmental issues in D.C. for the past 7ish years, plus 5 more years producing and reporting audio at the station.
@MikaelaLefrak@vermontedition Highly recommend finding a local conservatory. I find that going somewhere full of green things that's nice and warm tricks me into feeling like it's summer (works on toddlers too)
All of City Cast's producers ask a few extra questions with each daily interview - to get demographic info about our guests. So we can be honest + accountable about how well we're reflecting our cities: https://t.co/SivtJpdyhm
Congrats to @CityCast_DC on going daily today - kicking it off w/ a raucous convo about who would belong on a local DC Mt. Rushmore. Spoiler alert: Marion Berry was not a shoo-in. https://t.co/7xDOdj62jL
Hey Philly, we're so excited to be in your ears on Aug. 30 and we're cooking up something special for that first episode. But we need your help!
How do you feel when you see the word "jawn" or when you hear someone say it?
Leave us a voicemail at 215-259-8170 with your answer.
Whoa. If @YouTube starts using geolocation to surface relevant news content on users’ homepages, it could be a game changer for local news. #CommunityNewsSummit They’re not doing it currently (except on smart TVs) but I swear I see a twinkle in their eyes… #LocalNews
@CocoDavies Can't decide whether that's better/worse than my flight attendant mom, while in China, having her eyebrows tattooed on....in the WRONG COLOR 🥺
