Dear @AmazonMGMStudio,
What’s the deal with cancelling Stargate because it appeals to its fanbase? Isn’t that the exact point of owning the rights to a franchise, what makes it commercially valuable?
If you want to reach another audience, create something new?
I just don’t get what studios do with franchises these days. “Yes, let’s invest a ton of money in it. And then let’s take it to another direction and alienate the fans.”
Well, what’s exactly the value of the investment in the first place? Isn’t that access to a target audience?
@Manhattva I’m a bit torn what to think. On the one hand all their valuation metrics are sky high (pun intended). On the other hand they’re in the business of making the impossible not only happen but commercially viable.
…well I guess I just answered my question
@gwowls Yes. However the Word of Building Bocks prohibits the color red.
Hence you’ll soon see a specialized chain of retail stores out of Utah with LEGO blocks in a suspiciously magenta color.
With cream on it.
@FiredUpCoug Considering how fired up this technology gets you, and considering another recent post you had….. boy do you need to try out a Tesla with FSD 😅
@BaronDestructo Very sad.
Based on what transpires on X today, and considering Amazon recent productions, deep respect for the creator and the authors for staying true.
@justin_hart “Latter-day Saints are only 5% of Christians but commit about half of Christianity” - it’s not from me (and yes I just made up the %), but I get a chuckle each time I think about it 😅
@amazon Hey, reporting something absolutely not OK.
My 7 year old daughter was crossing the street this morning. An Amazon van came in relatively quick and didn’t show any sign of slowing down - although midway through, my daughter saw it coming and just had to promptly run back to avoid it.
It happened in front of the Church on N Bayhill Drive, Cedar Hills, UT. Plate: Z57 3KT.
