Introducing this year’s Indego Communjty Advisory Council (ICAC)! The ICAC was launched in 2024 following the release of the Indego Equity Plan. The purpose of the ICAC is to provide a platform where trusted partners who represent marginalized communities can influence decisions in a way that addresses the needs of the communities they serve. This is a core foundation of our equity work and the council has been key in helping us extend our reach in marginalized communities. For this year's cohort, from left to right we have:
•Waffiyyah Murray, Indego Program Manager
•Ihsan Hines, My Brother's Keeper Founder & President
•Dewayne Drummond, Mantua Civic Association President
•Tonnetta Graham Strawberry Mansion CDC President
•Nate Bowman-Johnston Indego General Manager
•Nicole Seahorn, Fairmount Park Conservancy's Engagement Specialist
•Andre Chaney, Visual Artist
•Stephanie Ridgeway, Indego Community Engagement Coordinator
•Charolyn Mosley Indego Community Engagement Manager
•Meghan Alvarez, OTIS Transportation Engagement Coordinator
Tell us—what community initiatives would you like to see Indego focus on this year?
If you start a friendship by highlighting what you can do for someone, they might end up valuing your skills more than your presence. Let the connection be about who you are, not just what you can offer.
A gorgeous installation from Andre Chaney near 6th & South. This is part of the Afromation Avenue: 2024, an on-going art initiative across the city focusing on Black artists, started by Brittni Jennings & Kristin Kelly (two former Philly school district teachers!). So good 👍
My new website is live and active! It features links to books I've illustrated, public artwork l've created, and an in-depth look at my artistic process. Check it out, and let me know what you think!
