👋I want to provide a direct update on the ongoing incidents. While we saw signs of recovery yesterday, we’re unfortunately seeing performance worsen again today across the Dashboard, Designer, API, and form submissions.

Our team is all hands on deck and treating this with the highest urgency. We’re on a live incident bridge with our backend database provider, who is actively working to resolve a bug on their end. We’re also running multiple workstreams in parallel to stabilize the platform and reduce system load:

➡️Working closely in a live video call with our database vendor to identify root cause and move quickly on fixes.
➡️Shifting resources to reduce pressure on core systems.
➡️Exploring additional application-level optimizations.
➡️Temporarily pausing new user signups and disabling the Webflow Marketplace to prioritize stability for existing users.

I've been thinking about this whole debacle of AI replacing designers. Yes, I generated my new pfp with AI 😆

Here's the deal. The term "Designers" will be a thing of the past, just like "Graphic Designers" a decade ago. A new title was born last week and people have yet to discover it...

The title is "Imagineer".

We are all becoming imagination experts. We now have tremendous power at our fingertips to help create illustrations, icons, moodboards, wireframes, websites, apps, photography (and the list goes on) for our clients.

AI has equipped us with a brand new opportunity to emerge as experts of AI, where we can now think of anything and it comes into existence with a simple prompt.

This is no doubt an industry disruptor and AI will only get better from here. What do you think will happen in 2 years... 5 years... 10 years? This is the time to learn all possible AI tools and tactics. Build tools to better the AI industry as a whole and to provide actual value.

For the past 1,000's of years, humans have built the foundation of what is art, what is functional and what is relatable... now with AI, we progress exponentially.

Evolve or die.
