@giddy_fx Carrick has no choice in this matter. There are no offers for Rashford from the clubs he wants to join, and given his salary, the club cannot easily sideline him. If United wants any chance of selling him, they need to show they aren't desperate to offload him.

@giddy_fx Was there really a style of play under Amorim? 😁 Two different situations. Carrick stepped in to secure European qualification with a squad he hadn't built and which was psychologically affected. Tuchel has a high-quality squad at his disposal, featuring a playmaker like Mainoo

@giddy_fx It’s a midfield rebuild. A new midfield needs time to develop chemistry and patterns of play. Carrick will be given time, just like Amorim. Qualifying for the Champions League again would be a good start; United hasn't done that in consecutive seasons since Ole's time.

@giddy_fx Carrick was never a key player for the England team; he was even kept out of the side by the likes of Barry or Scott Parker. Was he less talented than them, or did he simply not play like the typical English midfielder? Mainoo will never be a hyper-athletic player.

@Quarri01 @AdamJoseph Mainoo has the necessary work rate to cover the pitch. Not all midfielders are built to run everywhere; it is about running intelligently. He played the second half of the season alongside a 35-year-old player whom he helped immensely in the defensive phase.

De plus, il met Mainoo à l'écart en faisant jouer James un latéral, milieu, alors que Mainoo peut l'aider dans les petits espaces

@o_harris54026 @Scipionista Allez vous même lire la déclaration de Tuchel après le match. Lui même a reconnu que l'Angleterre avait très très mal joué et qu'elle doit élever son niveau de jeu pour le reste de la compétition. Si lui même reconnaît ses failles, qui sommes nous pour en rajouter ?

@Quarri01 @AdamJoseph Mainoo simply happened to encounter two managers who prefer athletic players. If he were Spanish and coached by De La Fuente, he would have a better chance of playing than Anderson or Rice. It’s just a matter of playing style.
