I've never seen this before.

All fundamentals, the demand, the capex are absolutely smashing.

All AI stocks selling off like everything stopped.

I don't believe fairy tales how they're trying to push retail to sell so the tutes can buy cheaper.

Could be many reasons.

Some stocks are desevedly sold off and should drop even lower but some other are criminally discounted but still going down with the crowd.

I'm pretty sure the reds, if victorious, would seal humanities fate, killing nearly 50% of people on the planet, collapsing society. All because they couldn't realize it's easier to align 50% of the votes than 100%.

@RokoMijic @QiaochuYuan If we're talking policy, seems easier to get to 50% blue to save everyone than closer to a 100% red to avoid billions of deaths and avoid societal upheaval? I guess you could frame it as a 'riskier' strategy because 49% blue is the most tragic outcome.

If we have a society it's because the blues are the majority. Not to get tribal but we also need 'retaliators' to make red a bad strategy.

My point is that you can never really know how much impact you're ultimately going to have, and the correct move is always to do 'the right thing' - meaning maximally beneficial to your society.

But virtue signalling is obviously the desired product of social norms/shaming/laws. You don't need norms to make virtuous people virtuous, you need them for immoral people.

Let's say: Plenty of stuff in the store, not causing shortages. You're not changing the companies insurance bracket, they're still counting on the 5% of their stuff being stolen. You're stealing a negligible percentage of the stolen 5%.

In its highest form it's a complete long shot, a horrible bet, it's Thermopylae, Tank Man, Stanislav Petrov.

It's doing the exact wrong thing game theory wise.

The big corpo insurance covers it and the clerk won't get into trouble. A truly victimless crime, stealing is the right option game theoretically!
