Somebody please explain it to me like I’m dumb. Here is a side-by-side of Tyler Shough’s play against the Raiders today and Jared Goff’s from Week 1.
Saints lost a td from Goff’s mistake. Today, ref says Shough fumbled and Raiders recovered. Make it make sense! @NFLOfficiating
two things can be true
1. you won’t win a game turning the ball over 4 times in a quarter
2. it’s decidedly harder to win games when rules change mid game every week to go against us
I’m going tell you everything we were told in January 2019
1 they missed calls on both sides
2 you had the ball after that play
3 your qb is turned it over
4 you can’t rely on the referees in that situation
5 you need to get over it
Alvin Kamara and Trey Hendrickson meeting up this week got me thinking about the impact of the #Saints 2017 draft class. Without names, here is the pretty incredible accumulation of regular season stats from that 7-man class:
- 787 games
- 629 starts
- 1966 tackles
- 157 TFLs
- 121 sacks
- 208 passes defensed
- 40 interceptions
- 30 forced fumbles
- 13 fumble recoveries
- 1,674 carries
- 7,250 rushing yards
- 61 rushing TDs
- 606 receptions
- 4,948 receiving yards
- 25 receiving TDs
- 13 Pro Bowls
- 2 All Pro first-team
- 4 All Pro second-team
- DROY
- OROY
All things considered ... is it the most productive draft class of all time? Has to at the very least be in the conversation.
@SaintsForecast Would we even have the $ to go after him if we wanted to? Cause with our DC, I think we could get him looking better than he did last year
