I was inspired by @bcherny ‘s Lode Runner clone.
My contribution w/ Claude is an Apple IIGS game that still stands out in my memory 35 years after playing it: Tunnels of Armageddon. This game still stands up today. Here’s the browser-based game:

@steveressler@HarryStebbings This is great advice. Don’t make it too much about yourself. The best man (anyone besides the bride and groom, really) can fall into the trap of overthinking their role on the big day and forgetting they are a minor player on the stage.
I've now been asked multiple times for my take on Elon's offer for Twitter.
So fine, this is what I think about that. I will assume the takeover succeeds, and he takes Twitter private. (I have little knowledge/insight into how actual takeover battles work or play out)

gmail 2005: never run out of space never delete!
gmail 2021: Buy more storage or you'll stop receiving emails. BTW, you can delete those 168k promo emails 100 at a time.
Predictable, but still frustrating.
pro-tip: it's a bit involved, but you can script the deletion process 🤓
@unclefeezus @bryanl The problem of course, as it pertains to democracy, is that it’s a lot more entertaining and easy to participate in the hot takes than the hard work.
@unclefeezus @bryanl Couldn’t agree more. Nuance and details matter and when we speak in hyperbole all of that is left behind.
Democracy, or any good working system, is not built on hot takes or singular best ideas. You’ve got to align on common goals, put in the hard work, build, improve, iterate.
@bryanl +1 to the quality of that thread and discussion. I have been an engineering manager at FB for a little over 3 years now working on product teams. Those comments re focus on vision and outcomes, and leaving the “how” to the functional teams really resonated with my experience.
@arampell@arampell - Since this is Twitter I jumped right in with feedback/debate, but I should also pause to say thanks for the great article!
I’m eager to see how this all plays out over the next few years. I’m early40s, 3 young kids, live in Menlo Park - key demographic :)
@arampell There will also be counterbalancing effects. These new arrivals will also bring their high salaries and spending power to these smaller markets. Where we live is where we spend.
I’m also optimistic about how this may help with polarization in politics between urban and rural
