IPS, along with @SOIndiana and @IUPUI, hosted student-athletes from across the district yesterday for Unified Game Day, an event filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and spirited competition under the Special Olympics format.
“Our goal is to bring together students, parents, staff, and community partners to empower our student-athletes to develop physical fitness and courage while building skills and partnerships,” he said. “This event is the commencement of a years-long commitment from our students through Unified Sports, Unified Clubs, and Partner PE as they prepare for the state Special Olympics games this June.” - Nathan Vedder, Project Coordinator for IPS’s Unified Student Supports Department
