Last week I was lucky enough to tour the cassette factory in Japan, one of the few remaining facilities like this in the world.
It was an honor to get a personal tour of the factory and showroom by the owner Endo, and see the process of my cassettes getting made.
Now you can watch the entire process on my new YouTube channel.
I have immense respect for Endo and the businesses around the globe keeping cassette culture alive. While they are having a resurgence in recent years, dedicating yourself to this niche medium in 2026 is not easy work.
As media experiences become increasingly digital and subscription based, I believe it is critical to support and maintain physical media and true ownership.
If you love music or are interested in craftsmanship around physical media, I hope you take some time to watch this video. Itโs something I have not seen documented in this way and there is a lot to learn from the dedication Endo and his team have for this work.
The machines are decades old, the process is rare to witness, but the music that is being created is as fresh as ever.
So grab a drink, hit play, and enjoy this video dive into cassette manufacturing. Oh and subscribe to the YouTube.
I appreciate your support immensely and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Bless.
