This is a wake-up call. Our social media is being manipulated by foreign agents with the express intention of sowing hatred, mistrust, and misinformation among Americans.

Russia is behind a lot of it, using programs designed to disrupt our country and turn us against each other. We should be cynical about what we see on social media, and not fall for the rage bait.

This is also a national security issue and if the social media companies dont take immediate action, they are complicit. It's time for real regulation that requires them to find and shut down foreign bot networks, and holds them accountable when they don't.

St. Louis basically stopped pitching to him by the end and lost anyway.

Ortiz retired at 40 after hitting .315 with 38 homers and leading the league in doubles and slugging in his final season, which nobody has ever done. Boston had been in an 86 year drought when he showed up and had three rings when he left.

People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true.

I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin.

Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions.

Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25.

Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha.

So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years.

Imagine a chef employed at a restaurant that charges $100 for a hamburger.

One day he gets sick of his institution ripping off customers, so he goes across the street and opens a shop with $5 hamburgers.

Now the hamburger loving people are better off. Competition drives down prices and increases quality.

The original restaurant, angry over the lost business, gets a law passed that bans chefs from owning restaurants.

Everyone would recognize this as a corrupt, protectionist law.

And yet, in healthcare, with skyrocketing costs, we still outlaw physician owned hospitals.

Based on the Speaker’s excuse, Congress could never pass laws or do oversight on medicine, energy, airplanes, etc.

Members of Congress don’t need to be CS majors to understand it’s a good idea to require AI companies to be able to turn off AI models/agents if they go rogue.
