I’m sick of hearing about cyberattacks that will take humanity into the dark ages.
I’m a Data Protection, cybersecurity specialist. I’ve been helping organisations protect data for decades.
There is no single hack, virus, or attack that can systematically bring down critical infrastructure.
It’s de-centralised. Yes we have cloud computing.
(in reality that’s just a great big bunch of servers hooked up to the internet in a warehouse you don’t see).
Each organisation has to have its own cybersecurity infrastructure plan that has been developed specifically for that organisation.
They are all different, they rely on different hardware, software & access routes.
To think someone has developed a universal access key to bypass every connotation is naive and a little stupid.
It can’t happen.
Someone might decide to through the high altitude EMP scenario at me.
But, I can tell you, critical infrastructure has been designed to deal with these threats since the Cold War.
Don’t let them frighten you into more compliance.
