@Alan75082650@Tyrone12807527@historyinmemes Yet they did, regularly. Slaveholding states even had laws regarding just that. The answer to your question: They thought beating would make their "equipment" work better.
@_InfoGram_ So what is Netanyahu's game? Perhaps he is planning to implement the Kahane Solution (look it up) and fears Turkey might intervene militarily? Maybe invade the Turkish-controlled portion of Cyprus? What?
@SenEricSchmitt A lot of hysterical hand-flailing from yet another political salesman. The current Supreme Court didn't change precedent--it merely refused Trump's demand to change it. The Wong Kim Ark ruling--in force for the last 128 (!) years--is effectively confirmed. Now get a life, ya'll.
@marty_joll43940@SenEricSchmitt Congress cannot overrule a Constitutional provision. The only way that can be done is through the amendment process, difficult though it is.
@Megankstack I'm a native New Yorker, and I left it behind in part because I found it to be the most provincial of all large American cities. So I do believe New York is usually just New York.
@Otto0565@KTonkova Your synthetic arrogance doesn't conceal your genuine cowardice in any way--quite the opposite, it highlights your weakness. Anonymous commenters almost never show the courage of their convictions, and so the tendency proved to be true (yet again) in your case.
@Otto0565@KTonkova 2/2 Perhaps you might take your own advice, and widen your blinders. You claim Russia has done nothing to make Europe feel threatened. Has Russia done anything unjust against Ukraine that should be reversed? Is any part of Russia's narrative on the war untrue?
@Otto0565@KTonkova 1/2 And now you have a hypocrisy problem. Objectivity? You've clearly avoided saying anything critical about Russian actions, but have no hesitation against Ukraine and others. You are light-years from objective, and nakedly so. You do not see that in yourself? Truly?
@Otto0565@KTonkova No, you didn't reply, nor did you come close. It is easy to test if an evasive poster has the courage of his convictions, and you failed that test in a rather predictable manner. Your fear of straying off your message is not at all hidden.
@Otto0565@KTonkova I will ask again; perhaps this time, you will answer.
1. Has Russia done anything unjustified against Ukraine that should be reversed?
2. Is there any part of Russia's official narrative of the war that is not true?
@SethBTillman I'd agree the "moral duty" rationale for immigration shouldn't be the only consideration nor even the main consideration. However, I'm skeptical of any policy that inflexibly makes "moral duty" a non-consideration.
@Otto0565@KTonkova You claim you are not pro-Russia. Then please answer two questions: Has Russia taken any unjustified actions against Ukraine that should be reversed? What part of Russia's narrative of its war is not true?
@Otto0565@KTonkova 2/2 Reprinting the Kremlin's official excuses in Italian do not magically transform Russia's crimes into non-crimes. Nor do the crimes of Israel or any other country transform Russia's robbery and murder into non-crimes. Those are the most obvious reasons Russia is a threat.
