🙌 CHARITY OF THE MONTH 🙌
Our Charity of the Month for December is @ClaireHouse, helping seriously and terminally ill babies, children and young adults make the most of the time they have, however long or short that may be. With a team of trained professionals, Claire House offers a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service from its hospice on the Wirral and site in West Derby 🫶
The hospice provides specialist nursing and end-of-life care, as well as emotional support, helping families through the toughest of times 🫂

This is great news for the sector and families that so desperately need the care and support hospices provide. Although the funding is hugely welcome, hospices are still facing immense pressure and need the continued support of their local communities to survive. #hospicefunding
We are delighted the Government is taking the matter of sustainable funding for children’s hospice care seriously. Thanks to our MPs, in particular @Matthew_Patrick, for continually championing this vital issue.

This #ChildDeathAwarenessWeek, we’ve published new guidance to help GPs when supporting families after the death of a child.
The guidance was created in close consultation with bereaved parents, with support from @AlderCentre and @ClaireHouse. More info https://t.co/ON1UxH0246
For children like Archie, children’s hospices are a lifeline.
But 89% in England say they’ll spend more than they bring in this year – just to stay open.
Without more Government funding, essential services could be lost.

Really looking forward to experiencing the dog show on 7th & 8th June (though possibly not as much as my dog-obsessed daughter!😄). As well as it being at the gorgeous Claremont Farm, it's a great opportunity to raise money for the fabulous @ClaireHouse.
A great article highlighting the life-changing support @ClaireHouse provides to children and families, and the amazing way one family continues to raise awareness of the hospice. Good luck in the London marathon Katie!
