Tariffs are bad in general but significantly worse for small companies and startups. Big companies with political access can find (or buy) a way to convince Trump to grant them an exemption. Small companies that don’t pay for lobbyists end up getting crushed.

@ErikVoorhees it’s an optimization problem. try to make choices that minimize total suffering. mammals and birds raised on factory farms suffer more than wild animals killed during a harvest. plant and insect suffering is hard to imagine.
