@Ian__Simp For sure! Look at artists like Drake and Justin Bieber, they are some of the top-selling artists in the world right now. Just think about how many hidden talents there are that are getting the attention they need in Canada. #POPMUSF21
@flyangler777 I agree with this statement, if you take a look at the sheer size of the US compared to Canada, it only makes sense that they will get more exposure due to their numbers. #POPMUSF21
I think that a quota should always be in place for Canada to continue showcasing our talent. Other countries around the world predominantly the United States has many success stories due to the exposure and opportunities they are given. #POPMUSF21
@biodomer I agree, in my opinion "in person" is the best way to listen to music. You get to experience the artists emotions and the crowds support. #POPMUSF21
@melaniew418 Yes, I think that nowadays, fans expectations are a bit too high considering the difference in technology between the studio production and the live version. #POPMUSF21
“Pop” music today has a plethora of autotune added after production to appeal to the audience. Nowadays rarely will you go to a pop concert and the artist sounds just like they do in the studio. #POPMUSF21
@cassieehannahh Great point Cassie! When you listen to "I've Got a Woman", you experience emotion and passion that you would not normally hear from another technique. This technique makes artists like Ray Charles so enjoyable to listen to.
@Svillamar461 I agree with your thinking. I believe other techniques would not be able to deliver the same emotion and Ray Charles does in his vocals. #POPMUSF21
The "breaking voice" of Ray Charles helps to convey the message of "I've Got A Woman". Ray Charles uses that "raw" voice in order to connect with the audience at an emotional level that most techniques would not be able to do. #POPMUSF21
@qdmt_71 I agree 100%, there is no risk at a ll when it comes to listening to a new album, if you do not enjoy it, you simply do not download it into your library. Instead of going to the store for a CD, you just have to open Apple Music or Spotify on your cell phone. #POPMUSF21
@JordanN54312489 Exactly, when I got my first iPhone you had to pay by the song, now I pay $5 a month and get access to songs from any country and era. #POPMUSF21
I think the advancement of technology of the past decade has made music much more accessible. Nowadays anyone with a cell phone has access to any song ever made at any time at the push of a button. #POPMUSF21
@HounsellMegan I agree, to add I would say that the beat of “Semi-Charmed Life” by Third Eye Blind is so catchy and upbeat that the majority of listeners are so focused on that that they forget what the song is actually about. #POPMUSF21
@BHennebury I agree with your statement that drug and alcohol use is a way to fix any problems you have where as we already know is false. Sometimes artists do make music with catchy beats that overpowers the actual meaning behind the song #POPMUSF21
A false need put in place by music industries is that songs today need to follow to same format, length, beat and tempo. However time after time this has been proven false. An example of this is the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. #POPMUSF21
