@iamkylebalmer@dioscuri Both https://t.co/O69Ye9c2C9 and https://t.co/1RI5f7DUza have a way to visit a random site in the collection. Very curated and not the whole internet. :-)
To my WordPress friends...
I envision a network of twitter-like systems built out of components of the web and nothing more. Every part replaceable.
WordPress can be an important part of that, as the place where text is stored and published. It's a big part of what I call the web's social web.
Why WordPress? Longevity, the completeness of the API, and its long track record of competing through quality and performance and not lock-in. That combination doesn't exist outside of WordPress, and we are very lucky to have it.
The API has existed since 2017, I didn't learn of it until two years ago. That's when I began to see what could be built on top of WordPress, today.
Here's the path my development took from there.

I've been so inspired by all the work at #radicalspeedmonth, and also all the work by the people keeping the lights on while 695 people at @automattic experimented. Lots of fun is in store. :)
Week 2 of @automattic#RadicalSpeedMonth is underway and I'm bringing podcast tools to @wordpressdotcom.
Here's a quick demo of progress so far. The goal is to make it as easy to start a podcast as a blog and newsletter, while keeping ownership of your data.
During #RadicalSpeedMonth at @automattic, I wondered what a personal agent dashboard in my browser would look like, and then built it. This is the story of how Concilium came to be. https://t.co/smF5Vu1Cq6
Today starts Radical Speed Month at @automattic!
Two-person teams, one month, building and shipping outside of our usual teams and approval processes.
This is one of the most radical innovation initiatives I've ever been part of.
I'm teaming up with @crixu44.
We're building a tool to help creators find inspiration for their stories.
We are working in public. Help us shape what we build!
I was frustrated with the taxonomy cruft of my decades of blog archives, and created a Claude Code harness to fix it, that ended up being a sort of interesting new agent and approach to software. Check it out: https://t.co/4bNOdoagFG
✨ We built WP Composer — an independent, open source Composer repository for WordPress plugins and themes, with 17x faster cold resolves than WPackagist

I’ve been pretty quiet about the @automattic and @wpengine drama. Much love to you all.
With that said, the hate I see directed towards @photomatt is wrong.
Frankly, WP Engine has benefited a lot from @WordPress, and I don’t think it’s too much to ask for them to invest more.
WordPress now runs entirely in your browser. https://t.co/DJZ2AOnZWq gives you a complete, private WordPress environment with no sign-up and no hosting plan needed. Everything stays on your device. You can use it to write, learn, experiment, or build with pre-configured apps like a personal CRM or RSS reader.

It's embarrassing, but I wanted to share how I almost got phished so others can be protected. It was very slick. Thank you to @eastdakota for taking down the phishing site as well.

I love the piece Cory Doctorow wrote about RSS.
But I take exception to the idea that it's been dormant, or that Google made it work. The NYT did that. And there were lots of good feed readers before Google.

Please pass around esp in WordPress land.
Here’s an idea:
I just used WordPress to build an app.
Not a website. An app.
Domain. Hosting. Auth. Database. Everything.
I just didn’t use the theme layer.
Maybe WordPress isn’t just a website builder. It’s an application platform?
What’s stopping us treating it that way?
@corbin_braun The first wave of people doing this already being eaten by security and maintenance nightmares. There is far more alpha in the agents getting really good on building on top of existing open source projects like WordPress. You can have the best of both worlds.
Pray for Scott Adams!
@ScottAdamsSays “The odds of me recovering are essentially zero.
So I’ll give you any updates if that changes, but it won’t. So there’s no chance I’ll get my feeling back in my legs.
And, I’ve got some ongoing heart failure, which is making it difficult to breathe sometimes during the day. But at the moment I can breathe and I’m not in any pain.
However, you should prepare yourself that January will be a probably a month of transition one way or the other.
Now, I haven’t made any decisions, but it was all bad news, no good news at all.
So I will keep doing this as long as it makes sense because I like doing it.”
Plz fix asap @whop@jsharkey@delmo_dev@baked_dev@cnrstvns@_coopergadd@lisanalgaib
I was on https://t.co/6sxvlYr60E
I clicked the "claim" button in the footer offer bar. I saw a "Limited Time Offer" pop-up and clicked the button. A signup form showed for a second, then it went to the "This is an error" page.
