Matt and Erica Campbell had a comfortable life with their family in Ames. They could've stayed there and lived like kings for the rest of his career, but they sought greatness at one of the most powerful brands in the world. Let's show them Sat the greatest atmosphere in sports

I spent 14.5 years inside Allegheny County Pretrial. I wrote the recommendations. After the grant money arrived, release became the product.

MacArthur paid this county about $5.5 million to shrink the jail. The county’s own report said the goal was a 20% cut. They beat it and got renewed. Pretrial’s director told the Post-Gazette the office decided it would not recommend money. Judge Howsie told the Jail Oversight Board a pretrial recommendation never includes a monetary condition. You are in or you are out.

The override logs were tampered with. Do not trust what is left in the file.

A Pittsburgh pediatrician is dead. The man charged was out on a no-cash bond. That is the design.

@POTUS @realDonaldTrump @FBI @FBIPittsburgh @TheJusticeDept lock the offices down and seize everything. Grant agreements, emails, recommendation files, servers, backups, the lot.

Do not let another record walk out of that building. @macfound paid for empty beds. @ZitoSalena already put the paperwork on the record. @AlleghenyCoDA the standing rule is still in place.

I am not dropping this.

Penn State will not win another national title until the statue is back up and in its rightful place.

Jared Odrick on Joe Paterno
"Coach Paterno presented himself" in a way that felt "otherworldly" coming from Lebanon, Odrick said, and that relationship shaped the direction of his career.

Salena blowing the absolute top off what was said on @KDKARadio today when I interviewed @KellyRaeReports.
Holy heck.
You have to read this.
It was literally incentivized to have fewer people in jail.

[Kelly Rae Robertson @KellyRaeReports]

Dr. Idris Evans is dead. His wife was stabbed in their bed. Their kids, 8 and 12, ran to a neighbor in the dark.

The man charged had been arrested in July for breaking into a former partner’s home. Felony burglary. Released the next day on non-monetary bail. Zero dollars. His next court date was October 1.

I spent 14.5 years in Allegheny County Pretrial Services. I wrote the bail recommendations.

After the grant money came in, release was the mandate.

REDUCE THE JAIL POPULATION.
GET THE MONEY.
That is not one rogue magistrate. That is policy.

I have the emails. I have the letters. I have the records. I kept the evidence.

DOJ: Investigate the MacArthur, Arnold and Heinz funding and its role in Allegheny County’s pretrial system.

Washington: Audit every pretrial agency that received MacArthur jail-reduction funding. Count how many defendants were released and later charged with murder. Find out whether anyone was tracking what happened after release.

If this system is going to change, it has to be now.

Please read and share this piece.

Phil Jurkovec had no priors and got a $25K bail for what he did.
Elijah Hemingway, in multiple offenses, never had bail.
Hemingway stabbed a doctor to death today.

I’m not saying Jurkovec shouldn’t; I’m asking why Hemingway didn’t.

Pa. bail system is arbitrary & nonsensical.
