@instanterudite@KamalaHarris I agree Jo. Looking at it from a demographic perspective. Ie practical. 3m + deaths per year. 1.5m new voter registrations per year. Trump's base is shrinking. Young people are voting. So are new Citizens. He is not going to get more votes than 2020. Kamala to win by a wide gap.
@PatsKarvelas pretty ugly Patricia Karvelas. I do wish you would go back to Sky or The Australian where you can be at home. I stopped watching or listening to you some time back. You keep affirming my decision to do so.
We have to remember this for a very long time - how the ABC most prominent faces refused to speak the truth of the Gaza genocide. For Karvelas to say this to Sophie McNeill - who was one of the best journos on ABC - a person who actually practised journalism - speaks volumes
@AdamBandt As a Qld progressive left voter let me give you some feedback. You will never be more than 9 or 10 %. So you are about as relevant as One Nation is on the right. Change. Or go the way of the Australian Democrats.
@nelsondemille His books were a huge part of my life. So many great works. Sorry for your loss. What a legacy and a life. Thanks for sharing this news.
@MChandlerMather This is an outright lie. I am a TC in Brisbane specifically working in the construction industry. Come and talk to me Max and I will tell you the truth.
This message is to every Australian journalist covering the Reynolds v Higgins defamation trial in WA.
I have read all your articles on the Reynolds defamation trial and am curious why you haven’t included any of the evidence Ms Young presented to the Court, that seriously challenges Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown's accounts of when they first learned of the sexual assault?
For example, yesterday Christopher Payne's Federal Court evidence was raised by Ms Young about the meeting/conversation he had with Fiona Brown on Tuesday the 26th, March 2019 which is highly significant. But not one of you bothered to cover that evidence!
And you wouldn't know it from the media coverage, but Brittany's legal team have been successfully arguing her defence so far. Furthermore, a lot of what Martin Bennett (Linda Reynolds lawyer) has been arguing has been rejected by Justice Paul Tottle.
So, what is it with the Australia media's obsession with reporting EVERY single claim against Brittany, whilst skipping over the untrue statements of Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown? The one sided and selective reporting is very frustrating, and is making an already traumatised rape victim, even more traumatised.
The research I have conducted over the past year, linked to below, essentially proves that both Linda Reynolds and Fiona have been untruthful for 5 years about when they first learnt that the March 23, 2019, Parliament House incident was a possible sexual assault.
This was achieved by forensically researching all the available evidence from the ACT criminal trial, the ACT Inquiry, and the Lehrmann defamation trial. Linda Reynolds even recanted her ACT Criminal Trial evidence after my first Twitter thread was posted on the 15th, August 2023.

Yet not a single Australian media outlet has reported on any of this.
Why is it up to someone like me, who works full time, in a non-media role to spend hundreds of hours labouring over transcripts, media articles and evidence to investigate this matter properly? Isn’t that your job?
The question to all of you is why not?? Were you censored, and ordered by your editors not to write about these issues? Legal threats? Please enlighten me.
And apart from not investigating this matter properly, why are so many of you complicit with publishing a narrative that attacks and hurts a rape victim?
I would encourage all journalists in this country who have reported on this case to ask yourself what role you have played in continuing to traumatise Brittany Higgins?
PS: I wonder if any of you will have the courage and integrity to investigate and report on this breaking story?

I think I speak for a lot of Australians when I say this:
CUT the obscene spending on AUKUS so that the money can be redirected to the NDIS
(and Medicare, including dental!, clean air in schools, housing, etc).
